Volunteers Needed to Help Older Adults with Yard Work
September 28, 2021 (Denver) – Colorado nonprofit A Little Help is looking for volunteers to help older adults with yard work at their upcoming Service Saturday! events. Service Saturdays! are designed to bring the community together in support of older adults. Individuals and groups from the community volunteer to assist older neighbors with their seasonal yard work needs, including raking leaves, cleaning gutters, washing windows, trimming bushes, and much more. This is a great opportunity to get involved and engage in community with your family, friends, or colleagues. Service Saturday! volunteers meet in the morning for coffee and donuts to kick off the day and get yard work assignments and tools, and meet up around noon after completing assignments for lunch to celebrate service at a local venue.
10/30 – Jeffco Event: Morning Meet (Mile Hi Church/Lakewood)
Lunch (Edgewater Public Market)
11/6 – Denver Event: Morning Meet (South High School)
Lunch (Junction Food & Drink)
