Ms. Colorado Senior America Pageant 2013

Time is fast approaching for the 2015 Ms. Colorado Senior America Pageant, which will showcase contestants who have reached the “Age of Elegance”  (age 60 and over), who still have that spark and sparkle, poise and personality, tenacity and talent to compete for the Colorado title. The Ms. Colorado Senior America Pageant is a non-profit organization created to emphasize and give honor to women with extraordinary talent and achievements who continue to use their talents to enrich the lives of others and support their communities. A few of these ladies have gone on to speak and perform across the nation. Dr. Karen Taylor, Ms. Colorado Senior America 2011, just returned from Puerto Rico where she was speaking and performing. These vibrant, youthful senior women love the camaraderie and sharing of their experiences, and perform in showcases throughout the year in order to fund the pageant.

This year’s new queen will be selected by a panel of distinguished judges who will score each contestant on a private interview, gracing the stage in her evening gown and stating her philosophy of life, as well as performing her talent. After being crowned Ms. Colorado Senior America 2015 by the current Ms. Colorado Senior America 2014, Sharon Nuanes, who has done an extraordinary job of fulfilling her role as a model for seniors across the State, this elegant queen will be flown to Atlantic City, N.J. in October, where she will compete for the national title of Ms. Senior America.

So mark your calendars, reserve your tickets today and take your family and friends to this exciting event. Come a little early to browse the sale of paintings donated by a member, artist Norma Rachlin, and the book authored by past queen Ms. Colorado Senior America 2013, Gail Hamilton. Your tax-deductible ticket purchase will go far in supporting this wonderful organization of women who continue to be a positive influence here in Colorado and elsewhere. The pageant is set for June 27, 2015 at the Performing Arts Complex, Pinnacle Charter School, 1001 West 84th Avenue, Denver, CO. The tickets will be available at the door on the day of the event, or you can purchase your tickets, $15 for adults and $10 for children 12 and under by calling Marj Dow, 303-368-9654 or by emailing mndow@msn.com.
