Tickets now on sale – Celtic Fest Sept. 24-25
Editor’s note: This event has been canceled.
FREDERICK, CO – Now’s the time to get your tickets to Celtic Fest in Frederick, CO. [https://www.celticfestbrigit.org/tickets] The popular local festival has expanded to two days, Aug. 24 and 25, to accommodate the crowds looking to celebrate the Celtic way and feed the hungry in Carbon Valley. Admission to the festival ranges from $5.00 for a one-day child’s ticket (5 and under, free) to $25 for a two-day adult pass.
Experienced Celtic fans will find old friends like the RenScots [http://www.renscots.org/], who offer a wee experience of Highland life to all comers, young and old. And celebrated musicians Angus Mohr [http://www.angusmohr.com/] and Gadbaw & Krimmel [https://whitebirdsmusic.bandcamp.com/] will stir the blood and gladden the hearts for dancers and listeners.
With craft and food vendors a-plenty, festival-goers will enjoy sampling St. Brigit’s famous Bath Water Beer, brewed by Longmont brewery Grossen Bart [http://www.grossenbart.com/] while they explore clan heritage and shop for kilts, toys, or tam o’shanters. Sports fans will be amazed at the Highland athletics like the caber toss and the stone throw.
The “Parade of British Isle Dogs” is expanded this year to include all dogs of the British Commonwealth, so look for entry forms on the festival website, www.celticfestbrigit.org.
David and Shelly Arnold, 2022 event coordinators, extend an invitation to the community: ”If you’ve been missing community and family-friendly fun, don’t miss the return of Celtic Fest. You can discover your clan, dance to great music, thrill to the skirl of the bagpipes and drums, meet new friends around the bonfire, and reconnect with the friends you’ve been missing. You’ll need two days to enjoy it all.”
Organizers are enrolling sponsors for festival events including whisky tasting, a parade, kirkin’ o’ the tartans, and a ceremony honoring first responders and military personnel. Volunteers from the community and sponsoring businesses are also needed.
