9Health Fair – Saturday, May 9 from 7 a.m. – 12 p.m.
Location: Carpenter Recreation Center, 11151 Colorado Blvd.
Visit the 9Health Fair for free health screenings, including lung function, hearing, vision, skin, blood pressure, oral health, hand screening, body fat, foot screening, spinal screening, stress management, ask a pharmacist, body in balance, sleep apnea assessment, nutrition and bone marrow donor program screening. For a fee, participants can also receive a blood chemistry analysis ($35), Prostate (PSA) analysis (men only; $30), Blood count ($20), Vitamin D ($45), Colon cancer screening kit ($25) or Hemoglobin A1c ($30). Fasting is no longer required (optional) for the blood chemistry screening (blood draw). Diabetics should not fast! Call 303-255-7850 or visit for more information.

SilverSneakers® Lucky # 7 Birthday Party – Thursday, May 14 at 3:30 p.m.
We are so lucky to have been part of the SilverSneakers® program for seven years! Frank Sinatra will be here and we will have a photo booth so that you may have a memento of this fun event. Sustainable Farming & the Real Cost of Food – Friday, May 22 at 12:45 p.m.
In this first session, Bill will explain his beginnings as an old, new farmer and the humorous pitfalls of starting a farm. He’ll share information about the cost of raising real food and give you some ‘food for thought’ by expanding his comments to the global situation.

Dementia – Friday, May 29 at 12:45 p.m.
Retired nurse Patsy Barnes knows about dementia from a clinical and personal perspective. Patsy’s mother passed away due to dementia and she will tell the story of what her family went through on that journey as well as present facts about the disease and planning for what comes next after the diagnosis.
