Michelle Hartlage, who taught Laughter Yoga is also a Certified Passion Test facilitator, which means she can help you determine what gives your life the most meaning with tips on how to determine what makes your heart sing. Learn something new about yourself in this fun, interactive presentation. FREE!
Valentine’s Day Party – Friday, February 13 at 12 p.m.
Come have lunch with us and then watch The Silver Circuit as they present snippets of the current Broadway play Love Letters by A.R. Gurney. This play is comprised of letters exchanged over a lifetime between two people who grew up together, went their separate ways, but continued to share confidences. Fees: $3.50R/$4NR . Alzheimer’s -10 Warning Signs – Wednesday, March 4 at 12:45 p.m.
Memory loss that disrupts daily life may be a symptom of Alzheimer’s, a fatal brain disease that causes a slow decline in memory, thinking and reasoning skills. There are 10 warning signs and symptoms of Alzheimer’s. Come learn more in this presentation by the Alzheimer’s Association. Care partners, advocates, professionals, family members and friends are welcome. FREE!
Stepping on Workshop – Wednesday, March 18-April 29 from 1-3 p.m.
Stepping On is a seven-week fall prevention self-management program. This program is for anyone 60 years or older, who lives independently, has fallen in the past or is fearful of falling and is not suffering from dementia. The program covers topics such as: Strength and Balance exercises, Medication Review, Vision, Home Modifications, Safe Footwear, Community, Safety and Sleep. The program is facilitated by two, trained leaders from the HealthONE Injury Prevention team. Class is held for two hours each session. You must attend all seven sessions.
