Grief Recovery Action – June 3-July 22 from 5:30-7:30 p.m.
Is your heart broken due to the loss of a loved one, divorce or another life event that can cause grief? In this action program, you will learn how to complete the relationship and hold on to the fond memories to live a fuller life. Participants who had dealt with issues such as death, pet loss, loss of health, job loss, relationship and/or moving had benefitted from this class. There will be weekly homework assignments.
The eight-week class is based on the Grief Recovery Method®. New participants can join up to the second week of the program.Registration will be closed after that. Fees: $195R/NR for 8-week course and book. 538401-A
Stop the Bleed, Save A Life – Wednesday, June 5 at 1 p.m.
Uncontrolled bleeding is the most common cause of preventable trauma. Thornton Fire and North Suburban Medical Center staff will teach you proper tourniquet use, bleeding control and wound packing. Sign up by calling 303-255-7850 – space is limited.
Digital Picture Collage Class – Thursday, June 13 from 1-4 p.m.
Bring your favorite photos from your computer or phone and put them together to create a great collage. Learn to enhance, crop and rotate them to
your desired fit. You can also add text captions! At the end of class we will send your piece of work to be printed.Fees: $26R/$29NR 531103-A
Paint & Sip – Wednesday June 19 from 1-2 p.m.
Participants will choose from one of three paintings and the instructor will walk you
through the steps while you enjoy coffee and tea and light snacks. Wear something
you don’t mind getting messy! Fees: $15R/$18NR 531204-A
Downsizing – Wednesday, June 19 from 1-2 p.m.
Join organizer Lori Halbach for a workshop about why you should downsize, when,
and how to decide what to keep. She will also cover what to do with the items you
let go and your valuable items.
TED Talk – The Secret to Living Longer Might Be Your Social Life – Thursday, June 20 from 1-2 p.m.
Susan Pinker, Developmental Psychologist, reveals how in-person social interactions are not only necessary for
happiness, but also could be a key to health and longevity.
Help for Hands, Wrists & Elbows – Wednesday, June 26, 1 p.m.
Do painful hands, wrist or elbows limit your ability to many of the activities you enjoy? Learn ways to stretch and
strengthen the muscles of the hands and arms in order to increase mobility. Wear comfortable clothes for doing
