Join the Caregivers’ Support Group Meeting which is open to all caregivers of older adults with a chronic illness or disability such as Alzheimer’s disease, Parkinson’s, dementia, stroke, etc. The purpose of a support group is to help reduce the caregiver’s stress and to educate, share with others their true feelings, and learn that it is okay to take care of themselves despite their overwhelming responsibilities. The group gives caregivers a chance to share their experiences, provide each other with emotional support, and impart practical suggestions.
