The Highlands Ranch Encore Chorale for Seniors Begins Rehearsals

The Highlands Ranch Encore Chorale is a non-auditioned community chorus founded by and under the leadership of Brian Patrick Leatherman, Artistic Director and Conductor and Cindy Runkel, Executive Director and Accompanist and sponsored by the Highlands Ranch Cultural Affairs Association. The unique Encore Creativity program emphasizes the social, physical and mental health benefits of singing and is open to anyone “55 and better” who is interested in a fun and challenging musical adventure, with or without prior choral or singing experience. The repertoire includes arrangements of popular music, show tunes, and other favorites that will appeal to singers and audience members alike.

The new-member registration fee for the chorale’s 15-week fall session is just $120.00. The session will kick off on Friday, August 19, 2016, and will culminate with a free community concert on Sunday afternoon, December 4, 2016. The choir will rehearse weekly on Fridays from 10:30 a.m. – noon at the Recreation Center at Southridge, 4800 McArthur Ranch Road, Highlands Ranch, CO, 80130. An informational Open House will be held at Southridge on Friday, August 19, 2016 at 9:30 a.m., just prior to the first rehearsal.
