South Pearl Street Music Festivals celebrate summer, music and craft beer

DENVER – What happens when you mix a warm summer afternoon, ice-cold draft beer, and some fun, funky music? You get the South Pearl Street Music Festivals. Celebrate summer with BrewGrass on June 8, and Blues & Brews on August 10, in the 1200 block of S. Pearl Street in Denver.

Brewgrass, held on June 8, features some of the best in bluegrass and Americana music. Headlining the day is Mountain Standard Time, Nederland’s own bluegrass fusion group. For Blues & Brews on August 10, the slide guitar boogies and raw-boned Chicago shuffles will come from headliners Lil’ Ed & the Blues Imperials. Both headliners will close each day of fantastic music.

Entering its seventh year, and produced in partnership with Swallow Hill Music, the music festivals have become a neighborhood tradition and real shindigs. Some of Colorado’s favorite breweries will be on-site including Great Divide, New Belgium, Oskar Blues, Denver Beer Co and Lone Tree Brewing. Paired with food vendors Brava Pizza, Brothers BBQ, and The Goods Smoke & Grill, and more, the question remains – is it a music festival with really good beer or a beer festival with really good music?

Full event details and line-up are listed below. Thank you for supporting live music with Swallow Hill Music and the South Pearl Street Merchant’s Association!
