South Metro Medical Equipment Loan Closet
The South Metro Medical Equipment Loan Closet is official as a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization.
We are now accepting donations of durable medical equipment including walkers, wheelchairs, crutches, canes, toilet risers, shower chairs, oxygen generators, scooters, walking boots, etc. Our mission is to receive and distribute durable medical equipment to those 18 and over free of charge to those who are in need on a short term loan basis. Recipients need to be residents in the south metro area and have identification.
We are hosting a collection day on Saturday, June 25 from 9 to noon in the Hope United Methodist Church parking lot, 5101 S. Dayton St, Greenwood Village. You will receive a tax deductible receipt for your donation. PLEASE DO NOT drop stuff off to the church at other times. If you cannot make this collection day, please call for an appointment: 720-443-2013.
We are also recruiting volunteers to assist with answering the phone line in three hour intervals mostly from your home or cell phone on Tuesdays or Thursdays from 10:00 to 1:00 p.m. Other volunteers are needed for cleaning the equipment, distributing the equipment and accepting equipment from donors by appointments. Orientation will be provided in late July and duties begin in early August. We need you! Please call Donna Ralston at 720-443-2013 with questions or to volunteer.
