Sock Hop At Temple Micah
Put on your foxiest bobby sox and step out to the Micah Sock Hop at 7:00 p.m. Saturday, March 22 in the fellowship hall at Temple Micah, 5209 Montview Blvd., Denver. Don’t forget your saddle shoes, pony tail, chiffon scarves, sharp blouse and poodle skirt… OR how about slick hair, leather or letter jacket, white t-shirt and keen rolled-up jeans? DJ Holly will set you swaying and even try to teach you a few dance moves.
Who will win the costume and dance contests? Is everyone ready for the bubble gum blow-out plus games like Twister and Candy Land? While you’re here, swig a soda or chug root beer floats and splurge on deluxe surprises to satisfy all cravings.
This happy adult hop, Temple Micah’s main annual fundraising event, relies on your most generous possible “plink” to benefit the congregation. Sponsors and hopsters are sought; find out details at 303-388-4239 x1. RSVP with payment by Tuesday, March 11 via the temple website at http://www.micahdenver.org, then bop to the hop!
Temple Micah is a friendly, inclusive Jewish congregation, led by Rabbi Adam Morris, and striving in the words of its namesake, the biblical prophet Micah, to “Do Justly. Love Mercy. Walk Humbly.”
