A Rewarding Retirement

~ Program Provides Tips To Live ~

Explore how to wake up your wishes and dreams for retirement at a special program presented by the Highlands Ranch Metro District’s 50 & Better Together program. Rewarding Retirement – Design Your Time, Fulfill Your Life will be held Wednesday, Jan. 21 from 5:30 until 7 p.m. at the James H. LaRue Library in Highlands Ranch.

The inspirational talk will help adults prepare for the non-financial aspects of retirement. Whether you are nearing retirement or years away, this discussion can benefit you. Presenter Linda Sorrento will focus on possibilities and options to inspire you to craft a unique plan that incorporates key aspects of healthy aging. She will focus on the four keys to help achieve balance in this new phase of life. The four keys are:

• Learn the latest information on options for a successful retirement
• Is there still work in your future and what might that be?
• What if I don’t have any hobbies?
• Capture ideas for having fun and making a difference.

Sorrento designed Rewarding Retirement after working as a presenter on a cruise ship and listening to passengers who enjoyed traveling, but not their day-to-day retirement lives. The course Sorrento developed more than 15 years ago addresses these issues and others with the goal of ‘design your time, fulfill your life’ always in mind. Sorrento helps people explore how to align their goals, values and interests with the expanding options for older Americans.
“Helping seniors live their retirement to the fullest not only makes their lives better, it enriches us all,” said Sorrento.
