Hi Prime Timers! Were you able to watch any of the Little League World Series games? I love watching kids from around the world play the great game of baseball with all the passion and desire the game deserves. Williamsport Pennsylvania was about an hour drive from where I grew up. My maternal grandparents seemed to always make the trip and would take any of the grandkids that wanted to tag along. Watching the games takes me back to my days of playing and coaching Little League baseball. They were really good times and now treasured memories…

How many of you Prime Timers played organized sports back in the day? I’m talking the 50’s and 60’s as my back in the day. Remember getting a drink of water in the dugout? You most likely had a pail with a ladle hanging from it. The pail was filled with water from the hose and it was delicious. Today it would probably be deemed a health hazard.

I’ve been waiting for this edition for 6 months. Why, you may ask? It’s the beginning of Football Season of course!!! My favorite time of the year. I think the Broncos will be a fun team to watch this season. They usually do much better as the weeks roll along. Have patience and Go Broncos!

Holy Cow! As you thumb through this month’s edition, you will notice a LOT of Senior Events taking place in various communities in the Greater Denver Area. It’s really great to see we’re back to pre-pandemic outings and get-togethers. Thank goodness! Deb and I always look forward to seeing and chatting with those attending the events as well as all the participants and workers that make them happen. We’ll certainly be piling up the miles this month! Hope to see you there!!
