Prime Time News ~
Hi Prime Timers! I love this time of year and if you’re a football fan this is the best time of the year. Pre-season is over and the regular season is about to begin. Optimism is never higher than now. The Broncos look good and should compete for a playoff spot. It’s going to be great to have fans back in the stadiums. Home field advantage is back!
Our children and grandchildren came to visit the first week in August. We had plans June of last year to get together but they were put on hold due to COVID. Because they are all from back East, airline travel was too risky at that time. It had been two years since we were all together and our anticipation was off the charts. When a vaccine became available, we were all excited to sign up so that the planning would become a reality. The visit was full of love and laughs and many treasured memories were made again. Seeing our grandchildren playing together again and becoming closer as cousins was the best! The little girls in the photo playing with playdough are now 11 and 12. A new photo is on the way!
I was recently selected to serve on a jury. Like most people I groan when the jury duty notice arrives but I always go and I’m always amazed at my fellow jurors and the pride they take in fulfilling their civic duty.
The Senior Connection is scheduled to have a show at Windsor Gardens on Tuesday Sept 21. Deb and I are looking forward to seeing our friends again. We miss you guys and have a lot of catching up to do…
As always, a big THANK YOU to our readers, advertisers, contributors and distributors. We really appreciate your support and wouldn’t be here without you!
