Ramblings of a Rambler – May 2014
Happy May, Prime Timers! Hopefully we’ve seen the end of Winter. It excites me to see everything in bloom. Its also nice to shed a few layers of clothing. . .
I meet with Nellie Hougard who will be turning 100 on My 7th. What a wonderful woman. Just imagine the changes she has witnessed in her lifetime. “Bill, don’t forget we used horses and buggies.” When I met her she was listening to the Rockies. Happy Birthday Nellie!!!
I’m starting to get the baseball bug. Nothing is finer than sitting at a ball park and taking in a game on a warm evening. This could be the year we return to the playoffs. Speaking of Sports, I received a call from one of our readers asking us to print the 2014 Bronco schedule. We did, you can find it on page 4 of this months edition. . .
We have a nice paper for our readers this month. There should be something of interest for everyone. Thank you for your support and your ideas. Like we said from the beginning this is your paper. . .
We published a week early this month. We usually publish the first Wednesday of the month. I needed to find some time to travel east to see my grandson. He turns one in a few weeks. He doesn’t know me yet. It will be fun getting to know one another. I’m looking forward to it. . .
If you receive our paper by mail you may notice something different. We are changing the way we mail our paper to reduce the rates for our subscribers. We use to charge $36 for a yearly subscription. We lowered the price to $18 per year. I really think it is the best way to receive the paper. Delivered to your door. . .
Happy Mothers Day !!!
Take the time to remember Mom. Its been a long time since my mother passed away. Not a day goes by that I don’t think about her in one way or another. Happy Mothers Day in Heaven Mom. . .
Oh! Sorry about putting the wrong phone number for the Kingston Trio. I accidentally transposed two numbers…. I hope the folks who figured it out enjoyed the concert…..
As always if you have a story to share with out readers or a critique of the paper give me a call or send me an e-mail
