Hi Prime Timers! Looks like spring is right around the corner. Whoa, didn’t I write my Ramblings about this not too long ago? Has it been a year already? We’ve had a mild winter so far and I can probably count on one hand the number of times I needed to shovel my driveway and sidewalks. You may think I’m jinxing a continuing easy shoveling winter but I certainly know after living here for 17 years that we still have the heavy spring snowfalls, packed with water to look forward to. Bad for the back but good for the much-needed precipitation it delivers…

When we moved into our house nine years ago, the previous owner left a birdbath in the backyard. I’ve come to really enjoy the birds that come for a drink and a dip. The pigeons that live on the roofs in the neighborhood don’t partake at all. The doves, however, will stop by every day, peck around the ground and then wash down their bounty with a cool drink. Then there are the Blue Jays who will boss their way to the bath but not until they announce their arrival from the surrounding trees. My favorites are the little guys, I call them the angry birds because they seem like they never stop chirping at one another. They also like to nip at a tail feather now and then. When the flock of angry birds hit the bath it becomes a frenzy of splashes. It’s really fun to watch…
