Ramblings of a Rambler – Jan. 2021

Hi Prime Timers… Happy New Year!! We hope you all had a good Holiday Season. Like a lot of you, this was the first year we didn’t spend Christmas with our family and friends. As we did throughout this challenging and uncertain year, we tried our best to navigate and figure out how to make the best of the situation. So, on Christmas Eve, we dropped off presents to the grandkids and brought home our delicious dinner prepared by our son and daughter in law. Then in 2020 fashion, we face timed during the meal and sent air kisses via the IPAD.
 

Christmas Day was very low key as we started our day and then thanks to technology, we were able to visit with our children and grandchildren back East along with our Colorado family. It turned out to be a great day as we shared stories and laughs and watched our grandkids show us what Santa brought them. I guess, when it comes down to it, being together however that may be is truly a blessing and a point in time we should not take for granted…

So, goodbye and good riddance 2020, you won’t be missed but we’re grateful for the hidden blessings discovered during these unprecedented times…

 

Well onto 2021! As of this writing you haven’t arrived yet, you’re still a few days off and here’s hoping you’re nothing like your sibling 2020. I’m looking toward you with an optimistic eye and a positive attitude for a promising future. As we continue to battle the coronavirus beast I’m hopeful and looking forward to US becoming one again and getting back to some semblance of normalcy. There is no reason for US to be divided. I hope folks realize a difference of opinion is just that, a difference of opinion and not a declaration of war. Personally, I won’t discuss religion or politics for the sake of hopeful conversions. I do however enjoy a good conversation about either as I may learn something along the way and knowledge is power. Having said that, I’d much rather talk sports!!…
