Under the been there and done that category, did we step inside a time machine whisking us back to the unrest of the 60’s? I was a nine-year old who thought our world was coming apart when we would watch the nightly news. I recall sitting on the floor, glued to Walter Cronkite giving the nightly reports on the Vietnam War and all the unrest around the country. I would look for the older guys from the neighborhood when they would show our troops of that evenings report to see if they were part of the story. It was a lot to take in, for a nine- year old boy. It seems we are still, after all these years experiencing the growing pains of change and I’m hopeful we will get it right this time…

Adding to all the craziness, it’s also an election year. Both Presidential Conventions will be virtual to keep us safe. Do you remember Chicago’s 68 Democratic Convention? Crazy times spawned great change in our country. The pot is stirred again and we should be paying attention to what’s going on. If you are concerned, you have a great opportunity to be part of the solution. VOTE!

I’ve always taken my right to vote seriously and I still have faith in our political process. It is sometimes slow to react but we usually get it right most of the time. There are some exceptions. We really need to be careful where we receive our information and do our own homework in obtaining the facts to make important decisions. Good solid information is easy to find if you’re looking for it…

As we slowly work our way back to some semblance of normal, BASEBALL IS BACK! Go Rockies!!!. It was a pleasant surprise to watch a game this past Sunday afternoon. It’s going to be interesting to see how the sport leagues react to the “new normal”….

Thank you again to our advertisers and contributors who share and provide invaluable services for our readers…

And to our readers, we are here for you and are so appreciative of your support…
