Ramblings of a Rambler – Aug. 2013
Yo! Prime Timers, I hope you are enjoying the summer. Wow!, what great weather we’ve been having. Too good to be inside. I love Colorado weather. We’ve had a few visitors at the house the past few months and one of the favorite attractions is a nice hike on the Front Range. I don’t think I will ever get tired of it…..
We have a nice edition this month with some great information. Our front page story is a great example of Urban Redevelopment. Instead of demolishing a beautiful building in a fantastic area, local government and a private developer did something beautiful. I’m sure seniors will be enjoying the beautiful building for decades…..
We also have a first in this months edition. Two local businessmen are announcing their intentions to run for our states highest office. Their reason for announcing in the Prime Time was their concern for seniors. Please read their ad in today’s centerfold. You will never get an endorsement from me, but we will try to provide you with the best information so you can make your own decisions……
Sadness made another stop at our house this month. My beautiful Mother-in-Law Evelyn Yaniello passed away on Sunday, August 4th. Ev, came to live with Deb and I when she was diagnosed with cancer in February. Evelyn passed peacefully in her bed surrounded by her children. I was a lucky man to have such a wonderful mother-in-law….
While the family was gathered at the house I heard my daughter in law say something that still has me wondering. She was telling Deb that she caught our granddaughter, three year old Teagan getting the water for her Tea Party from the toilet. My mind was racing through the hundreds of Tea parties we’ve had trying to remember who got the water….
This month we are also lowering our subscription price. We’re slashing it in half. If you would like the Prime Time delivered to your mail box each and every month for one year the cost will now be $18. We are doing this in the hope of moving more readers to our mailing list. We get a ton of calls for our paper. The best bet to always receive a Prime Time is through the mail. If you want to start receiving the paper you can fill in the form below and send it in.
