Ramblings of a Rambler – April 2015
~ By Bill Watson ~
I was sure if we just waited a few weeks another season would roll around. Sure enough Spring is here!! I’m like one of the trees surrounding my house. We have a few warm days of sunshine and I start to get spring fever. And just like my trees I get a dose of reality when the next snow comes along. Every spring I watch and wonder if this is going to be a year when I see flowers bloom. The aspen around the house seem to have more patience and hold on for a few more weeks…
We finally have our home under contract. Now the search is on to find new living quarters. We have (at least until the end of May) a nice four bedroom home in Broomfield. We’ve been trying to down size since 2012. So far we’ve been all over the Denver area. My perfect location would be near the Light Rail. Speaking of the Rockies, I can’t wait for the new season to start. Will this team have the chemistry? There is nothing as nice as the Home Team winning. The season is long and a lot can happen during its run. If the Home Team is in the race it adds a flavor of its own. If your team is in it after June you get locked into checking box scores everyday. Most conversations start with, “did you see the Rockies last night?” I love baseball, nothing can compete with being at the park on a warm summer night rooting for the home team…
