Arvada Leaf Recycling

ARVADA, CO – In an effort to keep leaves out of the landfill and off of streets where they can block storm drains, the City of Arvada has partnered with Perma Green Organics and Alpine Waste & Recycling to provide a free way for residents to recycle leaves this fall.

WHAT: Arvada Leaf Recycling
WHEN: Saturdays: November 7, 14, and 21m 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
WHERE: Stenger Soccer Complex (east entrance), 5675 Oak Street
Perma Green Organics, 5520 Harlan Street

All leaves collected will be processed by Perma Green Organics and Alpine Waste & Recycling where they are naturally recycled through composting over the winter. Leaves in plastic bags will need to be emptied and no large brush, branches or tree stumps will be accepted. These drop-off sites are for Arvada residents to use during the specified hours of operation; they are not available for commercial landscaping businesses.

By participating in this program, residents help better their neighborhoods by keeping leaves out of the street and creating compost to be used locally to improve our soils. For more information, please contact Sustain Arvada at 720-898-7500 or visit arvada.org/sustainability/.
