Pueblo Senior Care Community Names New Dir. of Admissions & Marketing
PUEBLO, COLO. (April 2021) – Sharmar Village (Sharmar) — Pueblo’s family-owned Senior Care Community — is pleased to announce longtime team member, Carlee Jimenez has adopted the role of director of admissions and marketing to support its group of dedicated professional caregivers.
As director of admissions and marketing, Jimenez serves as a resource for families during the move-in transition process from home or hospital settings and is responsible for creating community experiences on campus and developing memorable connections with residents and guests.
Jimenez supports Sharmar with more than 12 years of experience in the care industry. Throughout the past four years, she has held multiple positions within Sharmar. For three years, Jimenez acted as director of medical records, then became the activities director. Before joining the team, she worked at a local hospital and prior to that held a position at another long-term care facility.
“From the moment I entered into the care industry, I knew this is where I needed to be,” said Jimenez. “Now what’s most exciting is having more of an opportunity to connect with families. Everything before was majority behind the scenes so I’m really enjoying this new role.”
Jimenez’s involvement with Sharmar started years ago when her grandparents lived and received care on its campus. “Moving into this community, where it is very family-centered, was a huge priority for me,” said Jimenez. “Sharmar has truly become a second family to us. It really is a family here, it’s just a great place to be.” She also shared that her daughter has spent the last three summer breaks on campus with her, with the exception of this year due to the pandemic. “She absolutely loves it here. Everybody has always welcomed her, from the caregivers to our residents and their guests.”
Born in Las Vegas, Nevada, Jimenez is a proud Pueblo transplant, having moved to the area 15 years ago to better support her grandparents. In her free time, Jimenez is an avid craft enthusiast who enjoys spending time outdoors fishing, camping, and more with her daughter and husband, as well as caring for her grandparents.
“At Sharmar, we feel very fortunate to have individuals like Carlee on our team,” said Keith Jackson, executive director at Sharmar. “She has played an instrumental part in a variety of roles over the years, both with Sharmar and in other care-focused environments. This professional experience, combined with her own personal experience of having a loved one reside on our campus, brings an invaluable perspective to this position that the entire Sharmar family will benefit from.”
