For patients and their families who have experienced a stroke, the emotional strain can often be overwhelming. Cardiac Support Group
Tuesday, July 8, 12:30 – 2:00 p.m.
If you are currently being treated for heart disease and are interested in meeting other patients, this group is for you. We offer a forum of mutual respect and courtesy about the challenges and insights your illness has presented. Meeting agendas include guest speakers discussing topics related to cardiac disease, and new information regarding treatment, medicines, and prognoses. Total Joint University

Think. Beyond Medication. An event for patients with Epilepsy.

Most people who have epilepsy take medications to prevent seizures. Sometimes, the medicines don’t work or they cause side effects. Patients have multiple treatment options, in addition to medication, to explore with their doctors. Join us for this educational seminar and engage in an open dialogue with peers, Neurologist Rai Kakkar, M.D., and other health service professionals in the area. The whole family is welcome. Cancer Support Group

Platte Valley Medical Center offers a monthly support group to help cancer patients and their families cope with the uncertainties and overwhelming feelings that cancer brings. Research shows that a support group can help people emotionally and even improve their physical health through treatment. The Cancer Support Group is held in the hospital’s Oncology Clinic, which is located at 1606 Prairie Center Parkway in Suite 270 of the Medical Office Building.
