Pickleball at the JCC Denver

The Staenberg-Loup Jewish Community Center is now hosting and teaching Pickleball. The sport – which is a combination of badminton, tennis and ping-pong – is being played around the globe, mostly by older adults, ages 55 and up. The JCC Denver has hired a Pickleball coordinator, Deena Jonas, to run the program.

Drop-in play is available for novice/beginner players who are interested in learning the rules of the game and how to play, as well as for intermediate and advanced players who are more experienced in the game.

Pickleball will be played indoors, at the JCC’s Fitness & Wellness Center gymnasium on Mondays, Wednesdays and Saturdays at various times from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.A full schedule for novice players can be found here: http://bit.ly/noviceschedule and a full schedule for intermediate and advanced players can be found here: http://bit.ly/intermediateschedule

Court fees are $5 per player for JCC Denver members per session. Guests can attend a session for a $15 per day fee.

Tournaments and leagues will be scheduled in the coming weeks.
