Northglenn Summer 2023 features Free Concerts & Movies

May 12, 2023, Northglenn, CO ¾ Northglenn Arts, working to provide affordable access to the arts in the north metro area, is excited to announce a free summer concert and movies series starting June 7 and running through July 19 on Wednesday nights at 7 p.m. Concerts and movies will be held on Festival Lawn near the Northglenn Recreation Center (1 E. Memorial Pkwy., Northglenn, CO 80233).

Summer Concert & Movie Line Up:

            June 7             CONCERT: The Long Run (Eagles Tribute)

            June 14           CONCERT: Hand Turkey Band (Groovy Party Tunes)

            June 21           CONCERT: Ten Years Gone (Led Zepplin Tribute)

                                    MOVIE: Disney/Pixar’s COCO

            June 28           CONCERT: 5280s Band (80’s Music)

                                    MOVIE: Selena

            July 12            CONCERT: Narrow Gauge (Country & Classic Rock)

                                    MOVIE: Top Gun Maverick

            July 19            CONCERT: Elektrohornz (Old School Funk with dancers)

                                    MOVIE: Disney’s Hook

In addition to the Wednesday night concerts and movies, Northglenn Arts will host a concert for preschool to early elementary kids and their favorite stuffed pals!  Teddy Bear Picnic is 10 a.m., Thurs., June 8 at on Festival Lawn. Tiny Mule will bring silly and serious together to deliver music and movement for the kiddos with songs that bring laughs and nostalgia to the grown-ups in the crowd. Bring a stuffed pal and a picnic lunch and enjoy the show!

All events will take place on Festival Lawn – the beautiful grass area between the Northglenn Recreation Center’s main doors (1 E. Memorial Pkwy.) and the Veterans Memorial (right off Community Center Dr. south of 120th Ave.) in Northglenn. Northglenn Arts is the cultural services division of the City of Northglenn, which strives to provide affordable access to the arts in north Denver by presenting quality live productions through Northglenn Arts Presents and Northglenn Youth Theatre, offering outdoor summer concerts and movies, drama classes for youth through NYT Academy, art & dance classes, public art through Northglenn’s Art on Parade and other commissions, and special events throughout the year.

The Northglenn Arts & Humanities Foundation (NAHF) is a 501(c)3 organization that provides funding for quality youth theatre, public art, and other cultural endeavors in our community. NAHF was founded in 1990.  The Parsons Theatre is a 335-seat venue owned and operated by the City of Northglenn & Northglenn Arts located ½ mile south of 120th Avenue, right off of I-25, in Northglenn, Colorado.
