Moving Beyond Trauma Lecture Explores Holistic Services That Complement Traditional Talk Therapy
Mental Health Partners (MHP) is pleased to announce a new lecture by Dr. Janine D’Anniballe, Director of Trauma Services at MHP and a nationally recognized expert in traumatic stress, titled: “When Talking is Not Enough – More Than One Way to Heal from Trauma.”
Scheduled for Wednesday, February 5th at 6:00pm at MHP’s Lafayette location (1455 Dixon Ave, Lafayette, CO), this lecture will focus on holistic services offered by Moving Beyond Trauma (MBT): Healing Mind, Body and Spirit, including trauma-informed yoga, virtual reality, trauma-informed massage, and animal-assisted therapy, and how these services complement the program’s traditional talk therapy.
Community members can attend in-person, tune-in via livestream or a Facebook Watch Party. Spots are limited for this free event! For more information or to register, visit www.movingbeyondtrauma.org. Following this conversation, attendees are invited to stay for a tour of Moving Beyond Trauma’s Center of Excellence.
Additionally, MBT continues to celebrate its newly renovated space, which includes separate waiting rooms for adults and children; features a large, interactive art piece designed by a local artist; a therapeutic playroom; calming therapy offices; a spacious group room; a virtual reality room; a quiet room for clients; and the Heart-Center Yoga Studio, with a series of events throughout the month of February:

In this special giving opportunity, community members can support MESA (Moving to End Sexual Assault) by purchasing a heart to honor a survivor of sexual assault. Hearts will be displayed in the MBT offices as a symbol of strength and support for survivors everywhere. The hearts are hand painted by local artist, Kristin Sheldon of Heartstrings Card Co, and a portion of the tax-deductible gift will fund services for survivors and community-based education. Visit www.movingtoendsexualassault.org/100-heart-project-order-form for more information and to purchase a heart.
