New! Full-Day Weaving Class
Explore the world of weaving with Robin Wilton of the Rocky Mountain Weaver’s Guild! Discover weaving basics on a rigid heddle loom & create a scarf to show off your talents! along yarn of choice- you’ll need 250-350 yards of yarn for a scarf). Class instruction will cover how to figure wrap and weft, simple design possibilities, & weaving terminology. Crazy Hair Alpacas Farm Tour & Lunch- Franktown/ Castle Rock
Andrea Blocher and her son started their farm of alpacas in 2018 on a farm in Franktown and have since grown to 22 alpacas since. Crazy Hair Alpacas breeds, shows the animals, and also processes the fiber into several different products including yarn, as well as felted and woven products.
We will do a 30-minute tour of the farm and follow up with lunch at Castle Café in Castle Rock. Lunch is on your own. Menu price range is $7-$26.

Sprout City Farms tour (Denver Green School) & Zaidy’s Deli & Bakery- Denver
The Denver Green School Community Farm is a one-acre organic vegetable farm established in the spring of 2011 on the grounds of the Denver Green School in partnership with Denver Public Schools. Sprout City Farms set a big precedent partnering with the public school district to host a production farm on school grounds and supply the kitchen with the food grown. The farm produces an average of 10,000 pounds of food per year and feeds the community and local schools.
