Kevin Snow, Denver History Tours
Virtual or In-Person, Tickets $6
When William Jackson Palmer headed west to make his fortune, it was not on the backs of miners that his fortune was made, but on the wheels and rails of the Iron Horse. Trains made it possible to get the bounty torn from the earth by miners and farmers to the hungry mouths and pockets of the country’s growing population, but this prosperity could just have easily passed us by if the city of Cheyenne, Wyoming had gotten its way. Take a look at the history of the train. If you’ve got your fare and just a trifle to spare, this is the “tour” for you!
