Active Aging EXPO, Thursday, April 12, 3-6pm, FREE
Get informed, get active and get moving at the 4th Annual Active Aging EXPO for seniors, boomer and adults! Meet with more than 70 agencies that provide nutrition, wellness, health, active aging programs, aging in place, where to get pampered, local community services, safety and much more. Fun demos on art, health and fitness will be shared. Professionals will be on hand to answer your questions and provide you with a multitude of information to go home with. Beginning Machine Sewing-Pillow
In this class Jenn will teach how to use a sewing machine including a lot of sewing vocabulary. She will teach how to use different tools to cut fabric. While creating a fun easy pillow. Tangle, Tangle, Tangle!
Unleash your inner artist through the Zentangle method of learning to break down patterns! The belief that ‘anything is possible one stroke at a time’ will become your belief as you witness first hand your ability to take a pattern, break it down and Create beautiful artwork! Different patterns will be taught. Terms such as “aura”, “sparkle” and shading” will be repeated. Material used are simple and portable making this a great tool to take with you anywhere. Learn to perform ballroom dance steps with style! Incorporating how to move around the dance floor, proper placement of hands and arms, how to tie steps together, and specific footwork. You will practice with Latin and American style dances. A new dance is taught each month.
