Make a Difference in your Community through The Action Center

Make a difference in your community by volunteering with The Action Center! The Action Center is a human-services non-profit organization that offers the single-most comprehensive range of services to struggling residents of Jefferson County and the homeless.  We provide food, clothing, household items and resources needed to develop pathways to self-sufficiency.  Our organization is specifically looking for individuals who want to volunteer once a week (or more) on a regular basis.  We offer a wide range of volunteer opportunities, including working directly with clients, working behind-the-scenes, as well as seated and active positions. The Action Center receives more than $10 million worth of donations from the Jefferson County community each year and we need additional help sorting these in-kind donations so we can distribute them to program participants.

With the rising costs of apartments and homes in Metro Denver, more and more individuals and families need to make their limited financial resources stretch by visiting The Action Center to receive food, clothing and other items for their homes and children. In 2015, The Action Center provided services to more than 25,000 unduplicated individuals.
