Maintenance Tips for Home Owners at Love Old Buildings Expo

Denver—May 1, 2024—Denver residents who live in a historic home are invited to take part in Historic Denver’s Love Old Buildings Expo on Saturday May 18, 2024 from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. at 1420 Ogden Street in Denver where they can receive maintenance tips from preservation experts.

The Love Old Buildings Expo has been expanded from past years to bring more helpful sessions, skilled craftspeople and tips to anyone that loves or lives in an old home. The expo is complimentary for all Historic Denver members and non-members can attend for just $5. Everyone will get the chance to talk to knowledgeable experts about their specific home. Some of the experts who will be at the event include staff from the Denver Landmark Preservation Office, Van Camps Flooring, R.M. Design and Construction and Colorado Preservation, Inc. More exhibitors are being added to the roster.

For an additional $25 for Historic Denver members and $30 for non-members, participants can enjoy a special finale at 4:30 p.m. at Historic Denver’s Molly Brown House Museum at 1340 Pennsylvania Street. Museum Director Andrea Malcomb will walk participants through the historic 14 room mansion, focusing on the restoration and maintenance that keeps the home running. This will be followed by drinks on the museum’s third floor.
