Littleton Events – June 2017

June 1 – 18 – 3rd Annual Littleton Plein Air Festival- Depot Art Gallery – 2069 W. Powers Ave., Littleton, 10am – 5pm and 11-4 Sunday. Over 50 local artists venture out into the Littleton community, find a scene and paint. These works of art all depicting downtown Littleton will be judged by a famous local artist and will be on display from June 2 – June 18th Free admission

June 1 – June 18th – Town Hall Arts Center – Hairspray – 2450 W. Main Street
Be swept away to 1960s Baltimore, where the 50s are out—and change is in the air. Loveable, plus-size heroine Tracy Turnblad has a passion for dancing, and wins a spot on the local TV dance program, The Corny Collins Show. June 3rd – The Space Between Us – Bemis Library – 6014 S. Datura Street – 2:00pm – 4pm
The first human born on Mars travels to Earth for the first time, experiencing the wonders of the planet through fresh eyes. He embarks on an adventure with a street smart girl to discover how he came to be.  Enjoy free popcorn and lemonade at the showing.

June 6 – 27 – Free Battery Replacement for Seniors GT Jewelry 1500 W. Littleton Blvd.
To celebrate 6 years in business, GT Jewelry is offering seniors free watch battery replacement every Tuesday! Visit GT Jewelry on 1500 W. Littleton Blvd. in the Woodlawn Shopping Center, mention Prime Time for Seniors newspaper, and get your watch battery replaced for free! One per customer.

June 10th – Littleton Cruise – Woodlawn Shopping Center – 1500 W. Littleton Blvd. 3pm – 7pm
Join your community for a fun afternoon of vintage, classic and muscle cars on display every second Saturday of the month. Don’t miss this chance to see some of the area’s most beautiful cars of a bygone era.

June 13th – Littleton Leads Group Meeting Toast – 2700 W. Bowles Ave. 7:15 – 8:30 am

June 13th & 15th – Littleton Family YMCA Facilities Tour 1111 Dry Creek Court
Want to improve balance and mobility? Consider joining the YMCA community and take advantage of variety of classes just for seniors such as; Stations of Balance, Tai Chi and Zumba. June 14 – Michael Friedman Band – Littleton Museum – 6028 S. Gallop Street – 7-8pm Their music is a blend of high energy rhythm and blues, contemporary jazz and vocals. Concerts featuring a variety of artists and musical genres are held on the front lawn of Littleton Museum every Wednesday night and are free to the public. Chairs that could obstruct the view of others should be placed at the back or along the sides of the lawn. Each week a food truck vendor will be available at 5:30 p.m. Call 303-795-3950 for status after 5pm if inclement weather threatens.

June 17 – Little Jam #1 The Long Run – Bega Park – 2250 West Main Street – 6:30-9:30 The Long Run is a group of professional Colorado-based musicians dedicated to the faithful reproduction of the music of America’s most iconic band.

June 18th – AMF Belleview Lanes. 4900 South Federal Blvd. 11:00 – 12:00noon
Get the ball rolling at AMF Belleview Lanes. Every Sunday, AMF offers $2 bowling and $2 shoe rental

June 20- July 30 – Lazy Days of Summer- Depot Art Gallery – 2069 W. Powers Ave., Littleton, 10am – 5pm and 11-4 Sunday. Local artists that are part of Littleton fine arts guild depict the Summer utilizing all mediums. Their artwork will be on display through July 30th. Free admission and plenty of parking available.

June 22nd – Ladies Night – Act II Consignment. 1500 W. Littleton Blvd.
How about some shop therapy? Enjoy a special night for ladies only and shop for the perfect outfit, accessory or item for your home at Act II Consignment.

June 24th – Hudson Gardens – 6115 S. Santa Fe Drive – 8 – 11am Join us on the last Saturday of every month to explore Hudson Gardens and visit with its feathered residents! Each month we team with an Audubon Master Birder from the Front Range Birding Company to discover the rich bird habitats in and around Hudson Gardens. You’ll come away with a better understanding of bird ecology, useful tips on how to ID birds by sight and sound. Advanced reg. required

June 25th – Michael McDonald – Summer Concert Series – Hudson Gardens – 6115 S. Santa Fe Drive – Doors open at 5:30, concert begins at 7:30 Michael McDonald’s hits include What a Fool Believes; Takin It to the Streets; Minute by Minute and much, much more. Ticket prices Adults $48, children $38.

June 27th – Meet Greet and Eat with City Council – Bowles Grove Park 5500 S. Federal Street – 4-6pm Having fun is a requirement at the Littleton’s Meet, Greet & Eat events this summer. Taking place in four outdoor Littleton locations, the program is designed to give citizens the chance to meet their neighbors and talk with the city manager and city council members. Every site will have displays from city departments, and staff will be on-hand to answer questions
