February 1st – February 26th – The Best Roads Lead Uphill; A Decade of Paintings by Rita Derjue Littleton Museum – 6028 S. Gallup Street. Mon-Fri 8am – 5:00pm, Saturday 10am – 5pm, Sun 1-5pm
This unique exhibition features notebooks, drawings, and quotations from the last ten years, along with watercolors and large acrylic paintings on canvas.

February 4th Great Backyard Bird Count – Audubon Nature Center at Chatfield Waterton Road 9am – 12pm The Great Backyard Bird Count (GBBC) is a free, fun, and easy event that engages bird watchers of all ages in counting birds to create a real-time snapshot of bird populations. Participants are asked to count birds for as little as 15 minutes (or as long as they wish. Anyone can take part in the Great Backyard Bird Count, from beginning bird watchers to experts. February 6th & 7th AARP Free Tax Assistance Bemis Library – 6014 S. Datura St. 9:15am – 2:45pm
The AARP will provide tax preparation help, with trained volunteers, in the reference area of the library from February 6-April 11, Mondays and Tuesdays, 9:15 a.m.-2:45 p.m. Appointments are required for this assistance, which is provided for low and middle-income seniors aged 60 and over. Come to Downtown Littleton to celebrate Mardi Gras. Area restaurants will be serving menus with Cajun flair. There is also live music and “bead bars” where you can purchase your personal Mardi Gras decor.

February 25th Sully Bemis Library – The Light Between Oceans (PG-13) 6014 S. Datura Street – 2:00pm – 4pm
See this beautiful and moving film on the library’s big screen.Ê The film tells the story of a lighthouse keeper and his wife who rescue and adopt an infant girl adrift at sea. Years later, the couple discovers the child’s true parentage and are faced with the moral dilemma of their actions. Enjoy free popcorn and lemonade at the showing.
