August 1 – 27th – All Colorado at the Depot – Depot Art Gallery – 2069 W. Powers Ave. 10am – 5pm and 11-4 Sunday. Colorado artists display oil, watercolor, pastel, sculpture, photography, jewelry, glass, acrylic and 3D artwork. Free admission and plenty of parking available.
August 1 – 29 – Free Battery Replacement for Seniors GT Jewelry 1500 W. Littleton Blvd.
To celebrate 6 years in business, GT Jewelry is offering seniors free watch battery replacement every Tuesday! Visit GT Jewelry on 1500 W. Littleton Blvd. in the Woodlawn Shopping Center, mention Prime Time for Seniors newspaper, and get your watch battery replaced for free! One per customer.
August 4 & 6th – As You Like It – Town Hall Arts Center – 2450 W. Main Street 7pm Tickets only $5 Enjoy this student performance (mature theme.) Rosalind and her friend Celia run off into the Forest of Arden to avoid persecution. They find Duke Frederick who has been ousted by his nasty brother and lives like Robin Hood with a strange and motley band of followers. Things really start to get interesting when another wronged noble, the young and handsome Orlando, runs off into the forest! When all of these courtly outsiders meet the rural inhabitants and each other, hilarity ensues!
August 5th Art of Aging Expo – Arapahoe Community College – 5900 S. Santa Fe Drive – 8am-1pm
This FREE Expo will feature interactive exhibitors, giveaways and expert speakers presenting the latest on wellness, fitness, financial planning, photography and more! Plus, stop by support an eclectic group of 40+ vendors from all over Colorado.

August 10th – Six Foot Joe and the Red Hot Rhinos – Bemis Library – 6014 S. Datura Street – 6 – 7pm
Hear the explosive sound of the band Six Foot Joe and the Red Hot Rhinos on the front lawn of the library. The seven-piece horn band will entertain with a variety of classic rock and rhythm and blues music. Hot dogs, brats, burgers, beverages and ice cream will be available for purchase beginning at 5:00 p.m.
August 11th – Western Welcome Week – Stern Park – 6800 S. Spotswood Street – 6-10pm The 89th annual Western Welcome Week (WWW) kicks off with the 28th Family Night ~ Concert in the Park & Fireworks! Bring your blankets, lawn chairs, and picnics, sit back and listen to the music.

Join your community for a fun afternoon of vintage, classic and muscle cars on display every second Saturday of the month. Don’t miss this chance to see some of the area’s most beautiful cars of a bygone era.
August 12th – Little Jam #3 – Walker Williams – Bega Park – 2250 West Main Street – 6:30-9:30pm Walker Williams and his band cater to the dance crowds, performing selections from Walker’s own CD, two of which he wrote, covers of popular country songs by other artists, country-rockers and the occasional surprise tune from a variety of music styles. If you know how to two-step, three-step, cha-cha, waltz or swing, you’re gonna love ’em. The City of Littleton continues its musical tradition during Western Welcome Week with this family-friendly concert.

Meet with an attorney, free-of-charge, at Legal Night. Attorneys, provided by the Arapahoe County Bar Association, will meet with you for half an hour on any legal topic. Registration is required and you may contact the library at 303-795-3961. When registering, you will be asked to provide a general topic for your inquiry (e.g. “family law” or “estate law”), in order to ensure that you are matched with the appropriate legal expert. free-of-charge.
August 22nd – Meet, Greet and Eat with City Council – Southbridge Park 7751 S. Windermere Street – 4-6pm Having fun is a requirement at the Littleton’s Meet, Greet & Eat events this summer. Taking place in four outdoor Littleton locations, the program is designed to give citizens the chance to meet their neighbors and talk with the city manager and city council members. Every site will have displays from city departments, and staff will be on-hand to answer questions

August 26th – Hudson Gardens – 6115 S. Santa Fe Drive – 8 – 11am Join us on the last Saturday of every month to explore Hudson Gardens and visit with its feathered residents! Each month we team with an Audubon Master Birder from the Front Range Birding Company to discover the rich bird habitats in and around Hudson Gardens. You’ll come away with a better understanding of bird ecology, useful tips on how to ID birds by sight and sound. Advanced reg. required
