Matisse Scissor Cuts  

Spend an afternoon creating artwork without using paint only paper that is abstract or realistic in Matisse way.  This was created from the French painter, Matisse.  He used painted paper for his cut out and created an expression on paper. Cost includes the supplies and instructor.

Medicare 101 

Are you turning 65 soon or just turned 65? Do you have questions about Medicare? This class is for you! It will answer common Medicare questions, such as:   
 
• What does Medicare cover?   
 
• How do I enroll in Medicare?   
 
• Should I enroll in Medicare if I’m still working and have health insurance from my employer?   
 
• How can I tell if a Medicare Advantage or Medicare Supplement plan is right for me?   
 
• How can I avoid a Part D Late Enrollment Penalty?   
 
This class is offered by the Medicare Teachers Inc. They will be available after the class to meet one on one if you have more specific questions.

Denver Mint Museum

Learn the rich history of the United States Mint and how we produce billions of coins each year for the American public with a free, guided tour of the Denver facility.  Afterward, we will stop for lunch. This ticket includes transportation.  Lunch will be on your own.  Includes an hour walking tour, where comfortable shoes.

Cool off by heading up to the mountains for some fun! Spend the day enjoying the main street, on picturesque hikes, or trying your luck at one of many local casinos. Please bring water and wear comfortable shoes. The fee includes charter bus transportation, but meals are on your own.

Good Life Refuge

The Good Life Refuge provides a haven for abused animals.  We will take a 45-minute guided tour, you will meet and learn about our 60+ animal residents including the special qualities of pigs, chickens, cows, alpacas, ducks, and goats.  Afterward, we will stop for lunch.  Cost includes transportation and tour.  Lunch will be on your own.  Please bring money for food and dress for the weather.

National Hamburger Day, Level 1  

Every May 28, National Hamburger Day celebrates America’s most iconic food. Americans eat over 50 billion burgers a year, so it’s only fitting we set aside a whole day for these special sandwiches. Originating in Hamburg, Germany, the hamburger as we know it was developed in Seymour, Wisconsin, a town still famous for its hamburger heroics.  We will be visiting Five Guys in Erie, Colorado to celebrate.  The trip includes transportation.  Lunch is on your own.

LIONS CLUB GLASSES  

The Senior Center is proud to partner with our local Lions Club to offer FREE sunglasses and reading glasses to seniors in need. The Lafayette Lions Club accepts donations of prescription glasses that individuals in our community no longer need. However, at times they are also given reading glasses and sunglasses that they cannot donate overseas. Stop by the Senior Center if you need reading glasses or sunglasses on the following dates:
