Art Station – Origami Boxes

Discover the art of Origami as you learn to fold intricate boxes and unleash your creativity by decorating or painting an image. Immerse yourself in the Japanese tradition of paper folding, transforming a flat sheet into a one-of-a-kind sculpture.

Estate Planning Made Easy 

Get a challenging job done! With the guidance of licensed attorney Mike Anderson, you’ll craft a will, financial power of attorney, and comprehensive medical directive in a single class. The program covers all necessary materials, witnessing, notarizing, individual review, and ample time for discussion and questions. No need to bring anything – just yourself! Following the workshop, the Rocky Mountain Legal Center will arrange individual follow-up sessions to finalize your documents. Register at least one week in advance to secure your spot. 

▶ Age 60 and older: FREE must be a Boulder County resident (Sponsored by Boulder County Area Agency on Aging.) 

▶ Age 60 and older: $125 non-Boulder County residents

Medicare Teachers will be at the Lafayette Senior Center providing guidance for planning your Social Security needs. We will learn:

▶ If you’re married, how to coordinate benefits with your spouse.

Step into awareness with us as we mark World Elder Abuse Awareness Day. Hear from experts about scams, fraud, and the financial exploitation of older adults. Lafayette PD and Boulder County’s Justice Coalition for ALL are teaming up to share insights on spotting the latest scams and offering guidance if you’ve been targeted. Gain peace of mind by learning proactive steps to take if you or someone you know is facing financial exploitation or other harmful behaviors.

ThinkFirst Fall Prevention Class

Falls are the leading cause of unintentional injury deaths for people over age 65 and a leading reason for emergency room visits in the United States each year. Falls can cause brain injuries, hip fractures, and other devastating consequences. Many falls could be avoided through simple preventative measures. ThinkFirst To Prevent Falls is now available as a presentation on the basics of fall prevention for older adults.
