New Silver Sneakers Stability Class starting June 3rd!!
Movements taught in class focus on specific exercises to improve strength and power around the ankle, knee, and hip joints while improving your reaction time. This class is designed for fall prevention and is suitable for nearly every fitness level.

“JAM” SESSIONS
Felicity Muench is the Senior Center’s guitar and ukulele instructor extraordinaire, and she will be available at various points during the summer should the group request a refresher class. Her regular lessons will start again in the fall. We hope you will mark these dates on your calendar and join your fellow musicians and get together! Please RSVP.

Blue Ribbon Crafts at the Senior Center
Join Senior Center staff in making a simple but fun craft. All the materials that are needed for our fabulous crafts will be provided! You will leave with a beautiful handmade project that you can proudly display in your home or give as a gift. Registration is required. June’s project is a Red, White, and Blue Porch Décor

Estate Planning
In a single, easy session, you’ll complete a will, financial power of attorney, and combined medical directive, all with the help of Colorado licensed attorney Mike Anderson. Class includes all materials, witnessing, notarizing, and individual review.

Fraud, Scams & Identity Theft, Oh My!
Come talk with the Community Protection Division of the Boulder County District Attorney’s Office about the latest scams they are hearing about. You’ll learn about effective ways to block calls and protect your information and identity.

Mats for the Homeless
We need people to help organize and cut grocery bags to make the plarn and anyone willing to assist with crocheting the mats (bring your hooks, size P or bigger). You can also donate plastic grocery bags to the Senior Center for this project. Once mats are completed, they are donated to Sister Carme and the Lafayette Police Department.

AARP Smart Driver
Improve your driving skills, increase safety, and possibly receive a discount on your insurance. Open to all individuals 50+. Certification is valid for 3 years. Registration is required, please call soon spots fill up fast

Memory Café- SPARK! Art with BMoCA at The Lafayette Library
Welcome Melinda Laz, the Outreach & Education Manager from Boulder Museum of Contemporary Art (BMoCA). She will share information about their SPARK! programs, give a presentation featuring a few of the artists and exhibitions on view at BMoCA and lead a simple art activity for participants to try, inspired by artists on view in the exhibition. SPARK! is a series of programs specifically designed to make BMoCA’s art exhibitions accessible for people with early-stage Alzheimer’s or dementia and their caregivers. SPARK! is made possible in part by the Institute of Museum and Library Services and the Scientific & Cultural Facilities District. The program is presented in partnership with the Alzheimer’s Association.
