Jack Miller Receives 2015 Fall Outstanding Department Director by Colorado Assisted Living Association
Loveland, CO. – The Colorado Assisted Living Association (CALA) awarded Jack Miller, Maintenance Director at The Courtyard of Loveland Assisted Living, the organization’s prestigious “Outstanding Director” award at their Fall Conference. CALA chooses recipients of this award based on their commitment to providing outstanding, quality care and services to residents in the Assisted Living communities where they work.
“Jack Miller has been the Maintenance Director at The Courtyard of Loveland for six years. Executive Director JoAnne Gattoni says, “The manner in which Jack interacts with residents clearly shows how important they are to him and allows him to build meaningful and trusting relationships with each of them.”
Jack’s “can do” attitude and creative way of solving, fixing, and maintaining the facility are just a few of the reasons he was chosen for this award.
Residents and team members look to Jack as a mentor and father figure, a role he humbly fills by encouraging and assisting them in any way he can. According to resident Micki Nowell, “Jack’s title doesn’t convey the true essence of Jack. He is everyone’s friend and is never too busy to stop and have a chat and fix our souls. He is kind, generous and loving.” Resident Joe Domeraski added, “Anything anyone needs, Jack is there to help with a positive attitude and a good sense of humor… especially when I keep messing up my TV remote control.”
