ARVADA, CO, – Green will be in the air on Saturday, March 14 when The Historic Olde Town Arvada Association brings another St. Patrick’s Day Festival to the Arvada community. The excitement begins at noon and continues until 6pm, with live music, beer, wine, food, family fun and plenty of shopping options from street vendors. Last year’s festival brought 4,000 people into the streets of Olde Town. To compensate for the increasing event popularity, this year’s festival will expand an additional block. The larger event area will give patrons more room and will encompass more unique Olde Town Arvada merchants.
Entertainment remains excellent with a strong Irish flavor. Headliners Angus Mohr return with their brand of Celtic-themed rock ‘n’ roll, while the Bennett School of Irish Dance will perform an interactive program. Calder’s Revolvers, The MorphTones, and Soho Band will provide additional live music. A marching performance from Centennial State Pipes and Drums is sure to be a crowd favorite. Festival goers are encouraged to dress in their Irish best, and the Arvada crowd always displays a festive spirit.
“St. Patrick’s Day is an event that everyone loves to take part in,” states event coordinator Adam Mueller. “We have a range of activities for all ages and interests. Our event allows people to enjoy the parade in Denver, and then spend the rest of the day with great music and a fun atmosphere on the streets of Olde Town Arvada.”
Historic Olde Town Arvada will be closing down Grandview Avenue from Yukon Street to Webster Street, and closing Olde Wadsworth Blvd from 55th Street to 57th Street. The event perimeter will be fenced to ensure a fun, safe, and relaxed experience. Entry is free of cost and all are invited to come. Tickets to purchase drinks will be sold within the event area. Parking is free, with the best spots available in longer-term parking lots near the Jeffco Library and on Vance Street. Olde Town has expanded bike parking options, and nearby RTD hubs make public transportation convenient for all. In the event of heavy snow, March 21 has been reserved as an alternate date.
