Home Instead: GIVE65 Charitable Event

Online Crowd Fundraising event features local nonprofit committed to helping aging adults ~

This past year has been devastating, especially for aging adults. Many have endured extreme isolation, losing loved ones and worry over their future. Home Instead and their employees have been witness to how connection, kindness and compassion made a huge difference for our clients.

Give65, a program of Home Instead Charities, is the first and only crowd-fundraising platform exclusively devoted to helping nonprofits raise money online for programs and services that are helping aging adults live with independence and dignity. Since its launch in 2016, Give65 has raised and awarded more than $3.3 million in support of older adults in the United States.

At Give65, we understand it can be challenging to raise funds for programs and services helping aging adults. But through the Give65 program, matching grants and financial incentives inspire people to give and to give on a greater level. Through our robust digital advertising strategies, we are focused on increasing awareness of our partnering organizations and connecting their missions to potential new donors. As a community of organizations focused on aging adults, we can increase social awareness and the capacity of charitable organizations to care for the aging population, ultimately, helping even more older adults in need.

While we know we can’t serve every older adult in our community, we want to help as many as we can. That’s why we’re partnering with several local non-profits for Home Instead Charites’ Give65 Event – a 65-hour online giving event exclusively for charitable organizations serving aging adults. This year’s event is July 13 – 16 at Give65.org.  A few of the local organizations you can donate to are:  Dominican Home Health Agency, Inc., Caregiver Connections: Resources for Senior Care and The Aging Services Foundation of Boulder County.

We’ve experienced the impact these organizations have on the aging population and the value they bring to our community. During this year’s Give65 Event, the organizations are raising funds for their constituents in need.  Especially during this past year, they adapted so they could continue to serve their vulnerable clients in a meaningful and safe way. These changes were critical, but they also created unexpected expenses that impacted their budget.

As part of the Give65 Event, Home Instead Charities is providing up to $160,000 in matching grants and $88,000 in financial rewards to inspire giving on a greater level. The need to support this organization is greater than ever and now donations have the chance to be doubled.

Home Instead of Colorado is excited to support the sixth-annual Give65 Event and highlight the programs and services making a difference in the lives of aging adults in Colorado.
