April 1 – Zoom Morning Coffee Chat, 9 – 10 a.m. Come together online for a morning of friendship and fun. Registration is required in advance at highlandsranch.org/signmeup. April 6, 9, 16, 23 – The Mind Fit Series: Activities to Boost Brain Health, Douglas County Library at Highlands Ranch, 9292 South Ridgeline Blvd., Highlands Ranch, 1:30 – 3 p.m. In this Mind Fit Series, you will learn about proactive ways to enhance cognitive functioning, including, fun group activities used in the Cognitive Therapeutics Method, a science-based cognitive stimulation program. April 13 – Morning Trail Walk, 9 – 10:30 a.m., High Line Canal Trailhead, County Line Road at Southpark. Trail walks are easy with little or no elevation gain unless otherwise noted. Average distance walked is 3 to 3.5 miles roundtrip. Program is free however registration is required online at www.highlandsranch.org/seniors. Call 720-240-4922 for more information.
April 24 – National Prescription Drug Take Back, Douglas County Sheriff’s Office Highlands Ranch Substation, 9250 Zotos Dr., Highlands Ranch, CO 80129, 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. Dispose of potentially dangerous expired, unused and unwanted prescription and over-the-counter drugs.
