Highlands Ranch Active Adult Programs and Services – Aug. 2020

We’re still connecting and programming! While we continue to observe official guidelines for social distancing and group activities, we are happy to be connecting with people via Zoom and outdoors at our beautiful parks for picnic lunches and dinners in August. Registration is required for all programs and instructions for Zoom will be provided.

 Aug. 7 – Trail Walk and Sack Lunch, Lair o’ the Bear Park, 22550 CO-74, Idledale, 10 a.m. – 2p.m. Join us for a fun day in the great outdoors. Pack a sack lunch and let’s go for a trail walk. Registration is required in advance at highlandsranch.org/signmeup.

 Aug. 11 – Book Lovers Talk, Douglas County Library at Highlands Ranch, 9292 S. Ridgeline Blvd., Highlands Ranch, 1:30 – 3 p.m. Join a lively discussion with Highlands Ranch librarian about newly released and upcoming books.  Aug. 13 – Zoom Morning Brew Crew, 9 – 10 a.m. Come together online for a morning of friendship and fun.  Registration is required in advance at highlandsranch.org/signmeup. Once you register you will receive instructions and a link how to access the Zoom meeting. Call 720-240-4922 for more information.

Aug. 20 – BYO Picnic Dinner, Fly’n B Park, 2910 Plaza Dr., Highlands Ranch, 5:30 – 7:30 p.m. Pack a picnic dinner and beverage for an evening in a beautiful setting, visiting with friends and making new acquaintances. Gather at the shelter by the pond. We will be observing social distancing guidelines and will require face coverings when not eating. Register in advance at highlandsranch.org/signmeup.

 Aug. 25 – Archivist Talk, Douglas County Library at Highlands Ranch, 9292 S. Ridgeline Blvd., Highlands Ranch, 1:30 – 3 p.m. Join a local librarian and hear about little known and fascinating facts about people and places in Douglas County. Registration required in advance at highlandsranch.org/signmeup. Call 720-240-4922 for more information.

Aug. 26 – BYO Picnic Lunch, Northridge Park, 8800 S. Broadway, Highlands Ranch, 11:30 a.m. – 1 p.m. Pack a picnic lunch and beverage and join us for a fun day at the park. Come see old friends and make new acquaintances. We will be observing social distancing guidelines and will require face coverings when not eating. Register in advance at highlandsranch.org/signmeup.

 Social distancing and/or face covering guidelines at the time will be followed for all programs.

Thank you for your patience as we adapt to new public health directives and restrictions. Programs will be held subject to current health order guidelines. We look forward to your joining us for Active Adult programming scheduled through December. Stay safe and connected.
