Highland Recreation Center Joins Fitness Locations Nationwide to Celebrate National SilverSneakers Week
For the past 25 years, SilverSneakers, the nation’s leading older adult fitness program, has transformed the lives of millions of Americans through health, fitness and camaraderie. To celebrate this momentous occasion, SilverSneakers will be hosting an event for employees and local members as part of National SilverSneakers Week (Oct. 23-27). Hundreds of participating fitness locations will also be taking part, hosting exercise classes and celebrations simultaneously throughout the country.
Highlands Recreation Center will be holding a SilverSneakers fitness class followed by a community celebration with cake and festivities on Tuesday, Oct. 24 from 9:30 – 11:00 am at 2880 Osceola St in Denver.
SilverSneakers, by Tivity Health, is the nation’s leading community fitness program for older Americans. SilverSneakers partners with more than 14,000 participating gym and fitness locations, giving members access to the site’s basic amenities, including weights, treadmills, pools, etc., as well as specialized SilverSneakers exercise classes led by certified SilverSneakers instructors. More than 14.5 million people are eligible for the program, offered as a free benefit through leading Medicare plans.
