Help Qualified Listeners Help More Veterans
We’re not asking for your money, just your vote!
Scheels sporting goods in Johnstown, Colorado has launched their annual Giving Campaign for 501-C-3 non-profits serving the Northern Colorado Community. Winners will be selected on the number of nominations received. 20 organizations with the most votes will each be awarded $5,000.
Qualified Listeners was fortunate to be selected top winner in the Veteran Support category in 2019. Scheels has changed it up a bit, but we’re still “IN IT TO WIN IT”! The $5,000 we received two years ago went to help Veterans & families with bathroom upgrades, wheelchair ramps, handrails, and grab bars for the physically challenged; food, gasoline, clothing, and other basic necessities; vehicle repair, back rent, past due utilities, security deposit, short-term emergency lodging; transportation to medical appointments; train and/or bus fare for Veterans stranded in Colorado needing to get back home; emergency towing, storage unit down payment – just to name a few. And we’ll do it all again because the need doesn’t stop.
Our year-to-date Volunteer stats are as follows:
- 3,101.75 hours averaging 310 per month
- 17,265 miles averaging 1,726 per month
- 516 missions averaging 51.6 per month
