Free Flood Debris Removal for Qualified Residents in Adams County
Adams County announced today the establishment of a flood debris collection hotline to help remove flood-damaged materials from qualifying properties impacted by recent flooding. Residents of unincorporated areas of the county who have registered their losses with FEMA are eligible to call 720.523.6888 to schedule a free curb side collection from their affected property. Adams County will remove flood debris of all types, including yard waste, household goods, and construction materials.
Residents who schedule an appointment by calling the hotline are asked to stack their debris at the curb in front of their property (please do not block the sidewalk or obstruct street traffic). While the hotline is only answered during normal business hours, after-hour callers who leave a voice mail with their personal information will receive a return call the following business day. The free debris removal service will be available through the end of this year.
All Adams County residents who have experienced flood damage are reminded to register their losses with FEMA — regardless of whether or not they have insurance — by calling 1.800.621.3362 or visiting www.disasterassistance.gov. For additional flood-related resources, visit www.adcogov.org.
