This program helps people deal with the challenges of living with an ongoing health condition such as heart disease, a lung condition, diabetes or arthritis. Wheat Ridge Chronic Pain Self-Management Thursdays,May 11-June 15from1-3:30 p.m.at the Wheat Ridge Senior Resource Center Firehouse, 3232 Depew St., Wheat Ridge, CO 80033. This program helps people deal with the challenges of living with chronic pain. Classes are highly participative, where mutual support and success build the participants’ confidence in their ability to manage their health and maintain active and fulfilling lives. Conifer Healthier Living Colorado-Diabetesª Thursdays,May 11-June 15from12:30-3 p.m.at the Conifer Community Church, 9998 Havekost Road, Conifer, CO 80433. This class is designed for people living with diabetes and their caregivers and teaches making healthy choices and self-management skills. It is highly participatory, where mutual support and success build the participants’ confidence in their ability to manage their diabetes and maintain an active fulfilling life. Arvada National Diabetes Prevention Program Mondays, May 22, 2017-May 22, 2018 from 5:30-6:30 p.m.at the Centura-Arvada Neighborhood Health Center, 16280 W. 64th Ave., Arvada, CO 80007. If you have pre-diabetes or other risk factors for type 2 diabetes, it’s time to take charge of your health. The National Diabetes Prevention Program, led by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), utilizes lifestyle change intervention to reduce your risk of type 2 diabetes.
