Free Community Classes for Diabetes Prevention Offered in November

COAW, the Consortium for Older Adult Wellness, is offering National Diabetes Prevention Program classes that begin in November. If you have pre-diabetes or other risk factors for type 2 diabetes, it’s time to take charge of your health. Led by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), the program utilizes lifestyle change intervention to reduce your risk of type 2 diabetes. Classes are provided through a donation from Kaiser Permanente Colorado. Westminster—National Diabetes Prevention Program—Tuesdays, Nov. 7, 2017-Oct. 1, 2018. The free class meets for 16 weekly sessions followed by six monthly sessions from 5:30-6:30 p.m. at the Centura Health Church Ranch Neighborhood Health Center, 7233 Church Ranch Blvd., Westminster, CO 80021.

Golden—National Diabetes Prevention Program—Tuesdays, Nov. 14, 2017-Oct.1, 2018. The free class meets for 16 weekly sessions followed by six monthly sessions from 5:30-6:30 p.m. at the Centura Health Golden Neighborhood Health Center, 750 Warner Drive, Golden, CO 80401.
