Buckaroo Breakfast
Saturday, January 23

Mark your calendar for a rootin’ tootin’ grandparent and grandkiddo playdate! Enjoy private play throughout our new exhibits and familiar favorites, a full cowboy breakfast and wild west-inspired activities – all while supporting the Children’s Museum of Denver at Marsico Campus!

Museum Sleepover Fundraiser
Saturday, January 23 – Sunday, January 24
6:30 pm – 8:30 am
Tickets: $60 per person
If you love playing in the Museum during the day, you’re going to love spending the night! We invite you and your family to spend the night on the fire truck, inside the anthill or on a lily pad. You will enjoy private playtime, snacks and dinner before we all settle in for the night. Plus, fill up on a yummy breakfast before you head home the next morning.

Target Tuesday Nights
Tuesdays, January 5 and February 2

Target is committed to giving back to the communities where their guests and team members live and work. Through their generous sponsorship to the Children’s Museum of Denver at Marsico Campus, families can play FREE the first Tuesday of each month from 4 – 8 p.m.

 French Chef Series
January 28 and February 25
1:00, 1:45 and 2:30 pm
Practice your culinary skills by making French cuisine like crepes and pastries with our friends from Alliance Française de Denver. They’ll be teaching these special hands-on cooking classes all about French food and the traditions behind their tasty fares. Space is very limited and entry is determined on a first come, first served basis.

Ukulele Sing & Strum-a-Longs
Wednesday evenings*
5-5:30 pm
Strum, tap, sing and dance along with Swallow Hill Music as they teach families to play the ukulele. They’ll have the whole family playing a song in just 30 minutes! Activities included with general Museum admission and instruments are provided.

Daily Programming
From exploring the great outdoors to sculpting your own clay masterpiece or whipping up tasty treats, there’s always something spectacular going on.
Joy Park
Daily, from 11 am – 3 pm
It might be cold but that doesn’t mean you can’t still be active outside! Join us as we venture into Joy Park to look for worms, birds, leaves and lots of other cool stuff.  You never know what you’ll find as we hike through our one-of-a-kind outdoor space.

The Art Studio

Let your creativity run wild in our new Art Studio! Between painting, drawing, collaging and crafting there is always a new creative experience to explore. Stop by and join us for a Pollock-style painting workshop, an intro to drawing class or printmaking! Programs vary.

Clay (in The Art Studio)

Use your imagination to build, sculpt and mold using professional grade clay and tools! Stop by for a wheel demonstration, a glazing workshop or a hand-building class! For a small fee, you can even fire your piece in one of our kilns.

The Teaching Kitchen

You and your children can try your hands at being chefs with real, age-appropriate tools and fresh ingredients. We’ll make tasty recipes like whole wheat pita bread, banana bites and blood orange sorbet. Look online to see our daily menus! Please note: program space is very limited and is available on a first come, first served basis.

Imaginations run wild hearing stories of far-off lands, wacky characters, friendships and fairytales. Each one has a theme with exciting stories and a fun activity, craft or song. Join us every Thursday for Delta Dental Healthy Smiles StoryTimes for fun dental health adventures and activities.

Early Learners’ StoryTime
Daily at 10:30 am
Join us for an Early Learners’ StoryTime filled with books, songs, finger rhymes or felt board activities. Early Learners’ StoryTimes are designed specifically for children 3 and under.
