What: Electronic Recycling Event
Adams County and the City of Thornton are partnering with Metech Recycling to offer residents an opportunity to responsibly dispose of their electronic waste. Residents are invited to bring their old TVs, monitors, computers, laptops, batteries, and other electronics.

Online and advance registration for this event is available at: https://cityofthorntonadamscountyelectronicrecycling.eventbrite.com – please register early to reduce drop-off wait time. Fees for electronics drop-off include:

• $5/vehicle: For all electronics including up to one TV or computer monitor
• $10/vehicle: For all electronics including up to three TVs and/or computer monitors
• A maximum of three TVs and/or computer monitors accepted per vehicle
• All fees will be collected at the event

When: Saturday, Aug. 27, 9:30 a.m.-2:30 p.m.

Why: Household electronics and batteries contain many heavy metals and toxins that can cause environmental damage if not disposed of properly. Collection events like this ensure that no environmental harm is created through the disposal of this waste. Metech Recycling will ensure that all electronics are disposed of in an environmentally responsible manner and that all information and data on electronics is safely destroyed to protect your privacy.
