Can you imagine not having a coat to keep you warm? You probably have at least one in your closet that you don’t need. Donate it to the Kiwanis. There will be big red box near the front desk the entire month of November. Please be sure it is clean and check your pockets before you give it away!

Pet Supply Drive
Every Creature Counts in Ft. Lupton provides low cost services for dogs and cats. They shelter unwanted animals and most importantly, they help get animals adopted. Team up with the Turkey Trot participants in donating items for the animal clinic. They need dry cat food, litter, canned dog and cat food, paper towels and more. See the flyer in the lobby at Eagle View and get us your donation before Nov 21.

We need home-made baked goods for our craft fair! All proceeds benefit Eagle View Adult Center. Bring donated items on Fri. or Sat. (Nov 1 or Nov 2). Both cakes/pies and items “packaged” in smaller quantities are a hit. Please label your items.

5K Turkey Trot
Walk or run in Brighton’s 29th Annual Turkey Trot. This easy 5K race if un for the whole family. Proceeds from the race benefit Eagle Vie Adult Center. (Last year we received over $9,000!) Fee includes t-shirt and refreshments. Registration forms available at the Recreation Center, Eagle View and online at www.brightonco.gov. Make checks payable to City of Brighton.

Angel Tree
Be an angel during the holiday season. Starting Tues. November 26, take a gift tags off the Angel Tree, purchase the requested gift for a local nursing home patient and return the wrapped gift by the deadline date. Can’t shop? Then the “Angels will shop for you. Just pick out the gift tag of your choice, make a check payable to “Harmony Angels” and put both in an envelope. Gifts and checks are to be returned to Eagle View Adult Center no later than Tues Dec 10.

Medicare Saving Plans & the Low Income Subsidy is a benefit available to low income individuals to help them ay for Part B coverage, as well as prescription coverage. You may qualify if you make under $1436 monthly for individual or $1939 for a couple. Hear about this special program.
